FIREPLACE Mega Deals has reported a 300% increase in sales following a three month acquisitions campaign masterminded by SEOTrafficLab.
The Lincolnshire-based company, which has over 20 years trading experience in selling and installing fireplaces, had previously focused on traditional methods of selling.
In the past the company has tried internet campaigns but these have been unsuccessful. As a result, the company was reticent about spending more time and money on ecommerce.
However, the latest campaign, which focused on search engine optimisation (SEO), has proven to be a success.
SEO improves Google rank and the prominence of a company in search results in general. Practitioners of SEO create pages containing ‘keywords’, which users enter into a search when they are looking for information.
These ‘optimised pages’ appear higher in search results than non-optimised content and users are therefore far more likely to select them and go on to make purchases.
This approach appears to have work for Fireplace Mega Deals and managing director Russell Pearson says he is “overjoyed” with the results of the campaign.
“After just three months we have seen an increase in traffic of 700% and an increase in business of 300%,” he said.
SEOTrafficLab, which is also based in Lincolnshire, says this campaign is evidence of what can be achieved by ecommerce businesses if they focus on search.
Both companies have now committed to continue working together for a minimum of 12 months
