ZAGGORA a newly started fashion and weight loss company has seen sales soars as a result of effective use of social media sites such as Facebook and Twitter.
The London-based brand sells innovative hotpants, made from Celu-Lite fabric technology, which help women to lose weight by raising their body temperatures while they exercise.
Fans of the clothing have been expressing their joy of losing weight on social media sites and these recommendations have led to more interest and ultimately sales.
The company, which began trading in July 2011, has gained 200,000 Facebook fans and more importantly it has sold 400,000 products to customers in 110 countries.
Zaggora says it has seen more than two million unique visitors come to its site, and sales figures for the first few weeks equated at one sale per minute.
“We’re overwhelmed with the response we’ve had from real women all over the world,” said company founder Dessi Bell.
“While it’s great to have such a great sales rate so early in our business, we’re more focused on the communication with our customers and brand advocates on Facebook and Twitter.
“We’re really focused on growing this over the next few months and it would be amazing if we could double the community size again.”
The company is now focusing on creating more products for both men and women.
Bell says she is also particularly keen to bring forward products for other parts of the body and is launching a body care range this summer.
