SOFTWARE company LightSpeed has launched a new iPad product designed to reinvent in-store shopping, by introducing the convenience of online shopping and boosting cross-selling opportunities.
The company has launched its new LightSpeed for iPad product, which aims to provide retailers with more tools to cross-sell products and close more sales.
LightSpeed for iPad uses ‘Button Mode” technology designed to make the buying and selling process as easy as possible.
The new product will enable shop staff to browse through products with customers, find related items and complete sales from anywhere in the store, the company says.
Finally, the system comes with an “iPad Check Out” option, which allows retailers to use the tablet computer to scan barcodes and take payment, potentially removing queues altogether.
“Raised on Macs, iPhones and iPads, today’s iGeneration consumers have become accustomed to shopping online from their couch–easily navigating through product selections and comparing prices across the web,” said Dax Dasilva, founder and CEO of LightSpeed.
“Borrowing from the ecommerce playbook, we are introducing new features to LightSpeed for iPad to help retailers bring the access, value and speed of the online shopping experience into the store through engaging customer interactions.”
