Pricing: Start with a free offering for up to 12,000 emails a month to up to 2,000 subscribers.

3. Constant Contact
Constant Contact provides email marketing as well as social media marketing, event marketing and online survey tools to around 500,000 small businesses. It too has an open API and invites developers to contribute to its App Market Place.
Pricing: You can get a free 60 day trial with up to 100 contacts.
The prices range from £10 per month for up to 500 contacts to £48 for up to 10,000.
4. ExactTarget
ExactTarget provides on-demand email marketing software solutions and was acquired by Salesforce earlier this year meaning you can expect full integration with the CRM giant’s offering.

5. NewZapp
This is one of the UK-based offerings and allows you to create, send and track professional email campaigns. It claims to be one of the easiest to use out there. It’s email service is fully responsive meani g you don’t even need to think about catering for mobile devices, it’s already taken care of.
Pricing: There’s a pay-as-you-go service if you’re planning one off campaigns with 250 emails for £8.95.
Monthly rates range from £25 per month for 1,000 emails, £70 for 5,000 emails and £350 for 100,000 emails.
6. Mad Mimi
Mad Mimi was set up in 2008 and allows users to create, send and track email campaigns “in a fresh and novel way without using templates.” It’s quite a quirky service in its fun attitude and easy to use. If you’re looking for something a bit different from the usual corporate-style then it’s perfect. It’s based in the States but has a pretty reliable chat service.
Pricing: There is a free plan available with a limit of 12,500 emails a month.
From £7 a month you can send unlimited emails to up to 500 contact, £28 for up to 10,000 contacts and £133 for up to 50,000 contact.
7. DotMailer
Another UK-based option, DotMailer works with SMEs as well as large enterprises and has over 50,000 users in 150+ countries. Its system integrates with services such as Salesforce, Magento and Microsoft Dynamics. It has responsive email templates so you can optimise your campaigns for mobile devices.
Prices: You can set up contracts for 12, 24 or 36 months. For the 12 month contract there is a range of prices for example, you can start at £35 a month for sending up to 1,500 emails or £99 for 7,500 or £199 for up to 20,000 email.
