A new app designed to help small and medium sized businesses take advantage of Facebook and boost their online sales has been launched.
Created by the elearning company Mindleaders, The Facebook Trainer for Business application is designed to help small companies find a shortcut to their core markets, raise their profiles, increase customer leads and ultimately boost sales.
Mindleaders has worked with the social networking site to create interactive training courses which will show businesses how to take advantage of Facebook’s advertising and marketing offering.
The application, which is available for £40, is designed for those with low budgets that want to use social media, but are unsure on how to get started.
Mindleaders says its application stands apart from the crowd, as it has been developed through co-operation with Facebook, and this means it tutorials will remain up to date.
“Evidence shows that Facebook advertising can result in more qualified leads and a higher percentage of conversions than conventional advertising,” says Janet Garcia, director of MindLeaders UK and International.
“Because it enables advertisers to drill down to their target audience – for example, by age, location and interests – it is ideal for smaller businesses.
“We know that many smaller businesses have been very keen to use social media to their advantage, but until now have not known how to optimise their spend.”
Facebook currently has around 800 million members and of these 30 million users are in the UK.
