New Pinterest App for eCommerce launched

ECOMMERCE retailers can now harness the power of online opinion after the release of a Pinterest app designed for businesses who want to know what products are most popular among bloggers.

App platform developer Lexity has announced its Pinterest Report app to help businesses boost product promotions on via the online scrapbook.

The app means small retailers will get a clearer picture of buying trends and identify individuals who influence product recommendations on Pinterest, the company says.

The Pinterest app is also designed to provide information on buying patterns, helping them to understand what is “hot”, sell products in more varieties, avoid running out-of-stocks and boost sales, Lexity says.

“Selling and promoting products online is quickly becoming one of the fastest growing revenue streams for small merchants and Pinterest is playing a key role in customer decision-making,” said Amit Kumar, chief executive officer at Lexity.

“While we might not be fortune tellers at Lexity, our new Pinterest app can help merchants predict and take advantage of product popularity and trends, all of which are important to any growing business.“
