Perhaps obviously, the About us page is the section on your website where people go to find out about the website they’re on.

Right at the top of the About page, you need to introduce yourself and your ecommerce company. A picture of you or your team is a good thing to have, as it humanises the website – visitors want to know that they’re buying from someone rather than something.

Here is your opportunity to tell potential customers that your ecommerce site offers what they want. What solution or products do you specialise in? Why should they trust you and buy from you? You could, for example, include a couple customer testimonials, if you have them.
Here is also a good place to write about your company history – many visitors will connect better with you if they know more about the company’s history or experiences.
Contact details
It is usually best practice to have a “Contact Us” section on your website, but you should also include contact details in your About section. Potential customers need to be reassured that they can get through to an actual person if they need to – ecommerce is about giving people reasons to trust and buy from you. Your contact details should include both how they can contact you (via a form or email or phone), but be sure to also include your mailing address and a phone number.
Your brand values
You should also state what your brand stands for: is your aim to offer the best-value products? The biggest range of products? The best service? The quickest delivery? Give customers a reason to stay and shop with you.

Include information about your social media presence, too – this will help increase followers and Likes which, in turn, will help spread the word about your brand!
