POSTCODE Anywhere has released a new auto-complete address service aiming to make mobile transactions simpler and faster.
The Worcester-based company yesterday unveiled the new public beta version of Capture+ at Internet World, the major European event for digital marketing companies.
Capture+ is an attempt to make buying goods on mobile handsets easier by offering a one click auto address fill service for consumers, saving them the trouble of filling in numerous fields via small keypads.
The new service also includes worldwide address datasets and auto-suggest technology, which aims to make buying and selling across the world much easier.
Furthermore, the company has added extra address data, which it believes will overcome regular problems, such as not having a postcode on file and delivery to flats and apartments.
“There are a million and one factors which can lose online retailers a sale, a customer, or even a reputation,” said Jamie Turner, Postcode Anywhere’s IT director.
“And where data is entered incorrectly, missed deliveries can lead to considerable costs and disgruntled customers.
“Now consumers can type a fragment of an address and return a complete and fully validated record.
“They can also pull up a list of delivery points close to where they are using geo-location, or arrange precise delivery for far-flung destinations with a couple of keystrokes.
“For m-commerce, mobile shopping has seen a massive uplift in recent months, and until now there just hasn’t been a nice, fast and easy way to fill out a delivery address from your mobile.”
